By Store Adore

Spill your best beauty secret and win one of three $75 Beautorium Gift Cards! Read on for details…

Have you ever looked at your lip gloss label? Some of ours are full of ingredients we’d never attempt to pronounce, like Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate and Triisodecyl Trimellitate. If the thought of these mystery agents on your mouth (or face, skin and hair) gives you pause, maybe it’s time to shift to a more natural regimen. Brand-new Beautorium is fully stocked with beauty products that are amazing in their own rights—but they also happen to have ingredients we can understand (all natural and organic ones, that is).

Juice Beauty Lip Trio ($15)

To celebrate Beautorium’s recent launch, we’re giving away three $75 Beautorium gift certificates! Just leave a comment about your favorite beauty product of all time (organic or non)—that smile-saving lip salve or skin-silkening lotion that you cannot live without! Be sure to let us know where to find it too, and we’ll pick our three favorites and reward the winners with Beautorium gift cards!

Comments must be received by June 16th. By entering this contest, you will be automatically registered at Beautorium.com.

Tell us about your greatest shopping indulgence and win La Grande Hatbox from Vosges Haut Chocolat (a $187 value)!

A bit of self-discipline is a necessary shopping companion—you have to ask yourself, do I really need this short-sleeve jacket/full-length gown/five-inch heels? On the other hand, sometimes it’s good to indulge—to scoop up that impractical party dress or oversized clutch that you can’t stop thinking about.

What’s your favorite shopping indulgence? Whether it was a one-time buy or a recurring reward (anything from a yearly pair of Loubis to a weekly bouquet of flowers), we want to hear about it!

Just leave a comment (of 200 words or less) below and tell us how you’ve treated yourself. We’ll pick our favorite response and reward the author with one of the best indulgences we know: Vosges’ La Grande Hatbox, packed to the brim with exotic gourmet chocolates.

Inside you’ll find samples of nearly everything Vosges has to offer: A 16-piece Exotic Truffle Collection, La Parisienne Cocoa, 1/2 lb. Bapchi’s Caramel Toffee, 9 piece Aztec Truffle Collection, 18 piece Exotic Caramel Collection and three Exotic Candy Bars of your choosing.

Feast your eyes on just a few of these treats:

All entries must be received by Friday, May 30th at 5 p.m. EST. Good luck!

Win the “Under 30 CEO Summit” Gift Bag!

A couple weeks ago, I squeezed in one last weekend of gorgeous, 60-degree spring skiing at Utah’s Snowbird Resort. But it wasn’t all play – I was attending the “Under 30 CEO Summit” organized by Elliott Bisnow of Bisnow on Business. Elliot gathered 20 young entrepreneurs of up-and-coming companies in a social setting so we could share a few war stories and learn from each other. The attendees included Blake Mycoskie, founder of Toms Shoes, Ben Lerer of Thrillist (a daily lifestyle newsletter targeted at men), and Ryan Allis of iContact, an email marketing company that many Store Adore stores use to stay in touch with their customers on email. It was an impressive bunch and Store Adore was honored to be included.

As a way to introduce our companies, each attendee was asked to bring a gift for the others. Now, all of the other attendees were male, so I had my work cut out for me to create an appealing gift that the guys would love, that would describe what Store Adore is all about. A gift bag seemed like the best way to give them a taste (literally, in some cases) of the types of stores we cover. Food seemed like an obvious starting point, and we have so many delicious options on Store Adore. Dancing Deer offered their latest spring treat, Lemon Daisy cookies, which were so popular that they had all been eaten by the end of the weekend, and Papabubble gave a sampler of their adorable and divine-tasting little candies. Some of the candies even had the Store Adore logo in the center! Stewart/Stand came through with a phenomenal gift: their one-of-kind stainless steel wallets, which were THE hit of the weekend. All the guys were wearing them out. And finally, I thought we’d include something for the ladies in these men’s lives with a $100 gift certificate to National Jean Company, which they loved.

All in all, the Store Adore gift took the cake (or cookies and candy) for the best gift of the weekend. And the best news is that one lucky Store Adore Shopper will win this very same gift bag with all of the items mentioned above. All you have to do is get the most people to sign up for Store Adore by referring your friends here and this now-famous gift bag will be yours! Contest begins May 6th, 12 p.m. EST and ends May 21st, 12 p.m. EST. Buy a spring dress with the National Jean Company $100 coupon, give the wallet to a guy friend (he’ll owe you big time), and share the cookies and candy with your friends and co-workers!

Announcing the Winner of the Blessed Charm Giveaway!

Congratulations to Vivian Tong of New York, winner of our Blessed Charm giveaway contest! Her story about an especially kind shop owner won her this necklace, a $325 value!

“When I was a poor student, I went window-shopping at a consignment vintage store and tried on a pair of Michael Kors strappy sandals that were a perfect fit on me…except for the price tag. I was in love but knew I couldn’t afford them. As I was leaving, the owner called me back and told me he’d give it to me for as much as my student budget could afford. I still remember his generosity that day and think of his kindness everytime I wear those shoes.”

Here are Vivian’s five favorite Store Adore stores:

Fresh

Every time I walk in, I spend at least an hour in the store. The staff is friendly, helpful, and their enthusiasm for their products is infectious. Their products are fabulous on my skin too!

L’Artisan Parfumeur

In the highly commercialized business of scents, this shop stands out. Their scents are beautifully made and you can’t find them anywhere else. I’m a lifelong fan of the very sexy smelling Mure et Musc Extreme.

Calypso

This store makes me want to drop everything and move to the French Riviera. All of their clothing is casually chic and bohemian. Great place for summer dresses!

Calypso Home

Just as the clothing store makes me feel, the Home Store transports me to France. I love that I can dress my Home the way I would dress myself. The candles, home accessories and furniture are flirty, fun and well made.

MoMA Design Store

I love going to this store on Saturday afternoon and killing some time. If there isn’t a new gadget there, there’s an innovative spin on an everyday item.
